Vision

Crash For Cause (C4C) is a non-profit group will provide an organized infrastructure to raise money and awareness for charitable causes while allowing people to enjoy and participate in full contact motor-sports, such as demolition derby, auto cross, and figure eight. Events will be organized to network and train the necessary skill sets to build and race cars, design works of art, execute social gatherings, while thinking outside of the box to raise money and awareness for charitable causes.

Mission

Raise money for charitable causes within a social organization that networks people and local businesses together for an enjoyable time and lasting memories in full contact motor-sports.

In 2008, Crash For Cause is proud to raise money and awareness for the Project Self-Sufficiency Foundation (www.ProjectSelfSufficiency.com).  We are raising money in three ways.

  1. Individual donations by at the car building events, by mail or by PayPal.
  2. Artwork on the cars will be cut off, signed, displayed and auctioned with all proceeds going to Project Self-Sufficiency.
  3. Demolition Derby award money.

In 2007, Crash For Cause was proud to raise money and awareness for the Keep-A-Breast foundation (www.Keep-A-Breast.org).  We raised money in three ways.

  1. Individual donations of $25 received a free t-shirt, a personalized pink ribbon on the car, a tax deduction, and good karma ;-)
  2. Artwork on the cars was cut off, displayed and auctioned with all proceeds going to Keep-A-Breast.  Thank you Bradford Salamon for the first work atop car #420.
  3. Award money and any extra proceeds from the derby were donated.

 History of our thoughts....

Art can be found in so many aspects of life.  Great art stirs emotions, creates dialogue, and stimulates thought.  How about creating artwork with an actual story behind it?  Produced and sold for a great cause.

The hood design for last year's Cadillac sparked a thought.  A tremendous amount of work goes into designing and painting these cars.  With a little forethought and creativity, there might be some pieces left to put on display.

This year, we are hoping to put on more than just a good show.  We are inviting local artists to design and paint the cars.  When the car is retired, the artwork will be cut off the car and finished into final works.  All of the money will go to the charity assigned to the car by the race participants.
